Reigning Miss Philippine Youth International Rikki Mae Dela Pena is one of those girls who really idolizes former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach because of her passion and determination in pageants.
"I really love Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach because of her perseverance in joining beauty pageants. She really motivated me to become stronger in terms of challenges in our lives," said Dela Pena during an interview recently.
It took three attempts for Wurtzbach to join the Bb. Pilipinas beauty contest before she finally competed and won the 2015 Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the spirit of fun, Dela Pena answered two pageant questions meant for Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz and Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran.
For the question given to Diaz then which states: "If a man from the moon landed in your hometown, what would you do to entertain him?"
Dela Pena answered: "I would show how Filipinos are like being hospitable. I would serve him food. I will give him comfortable slippers and tour him around the house. Just the same."
For the question relayed to Moran which says: "What will you do if you had US$1 million dollars?''

Dela Pena answered: "I would buy a building and I would turn it into a school because I really want to have my own school in the future."
Asked about the important lessons learned in life, she said: "To be more passionate, gentle, kind to everyone, treat them fairly, to be respectful and to follow the laws."
Dela Pena, 20, is a business management student at the University of the Asia and the Pacific in Pasig City. She said that she wants to bridge the experts and fellow millennials who have been victimized by bullying, depression and body-shaming.

Recently, Dela Pena enjoyed her trip to Cebu City where she was the guest of honor at the Abellana National School (ANS).
The teen queen shared with the students from Grade 8-12 her own experiences and tips about goal setting, purpose seeking and attitude shifting.
Dela Pena said that she wants to empower the youth on education. "I want to empower the youth in terms of pursuing education in spite of the challenges they are facing and encourage them to be stronger and protect their mental health as well."
