Filipino-Dutch Danielle Isabelle Dolk is one of the newbie aspirants in this year's Bb. Pilipinas beauty pageant.

Born and raised in San Pablo, Laguna, Dolk said that this is the first time she will embark on a national pageant as she has been training with the Kagandahang Flores (KF) beauty camp under expert Rodgil Flores for more than one year now.

"I am excited to embrace the challenges of being a Binibini. I know being a beauty queen entails so much hard work, sometimes not getting enough sleep and there's exhaustion. But I know it's worth the try," said Dolk during an exclusive interview at the KF camp in Quezon City.

Only 18 years old, this 5'8 stunner loves to cook German dishes in her spare time. "I joined the Master Chef Philippines Junior Edition when I was younger. Prior to that, my mother enrolled me in a summer camp for baking. I also love pizza. I also want to pursue culinary in the future."

Dolk said that she started to fancy German dishes during a vacation with her family abroad.

"I would visit my father in The Netherlands where he is based and then we would go to Germany. I really love German food so I really studied how to prepare them. I also do Indonesian dishes."

This teen queen also loves travelling when not busy in school. She has gone to The Czech Republic, France, Belgium and other European countries.

Dolk describes herself as a daddy's girl even if her father who is a captain of a dredging firm works abroad. "My dad is my inspiration. I am very close to him. He is in Ecuador now. He is very excited about Bb. Pilipinas. So every time I have a shoot, I would send him photos. We communicate a lot via video call."

She also admires reigning Miss Universe Catriona Gray for her personality. "She is very engaging and lively which I really want to adopt."

Dolk prays to win one of the titles in this year's Bb. Pilipinas 2019 contest in June so that she could further promote her advocacy which is helping the poor. For two years now, Dolk is a member of several organizations linked to her advocacy.

Asked about her chances in the pageant, Dolk said: "I maybe young but I think it's not about the age but the responsibility of what you can really do."
